January is Cervical Health Awareness Month! Over 14,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with cervical cancer annually. This disease is highly preventable with HPV vaccinations and appropriate screenings. It is recommended that both boys and girls receive the HPV vaccine at the ages of 11-12. Women over the age of 30 should test for human papillomavirus (HPV) along with their Pap Smear.
Join us this month as we raise awareness for cervical health by advocating for policies that increase access to cervical cancer screening and treatments!
