Donald Larsen

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Don Larsen joined the UCR Health leadership team with more than 30 years of experience spanning complex academic medical centers, large community health systems, acute care hospitals, and research institutes.

Larsen received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School, then earned an M.B.A. from the USC Marshall School of Business and an M.H.A. from the USC Price School of Public Policy.

He is a board-certified interventional neuroradiologist who held faculty positions at the USC Keck School of Medicine, the UC San Francisco School of Medicine, and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Prior to joining UCR, Larsen worked for the Providence St. Joseph Health System as the chief medical officer of the Providence Saint John’s Health Center and the interim executive director and DIO of the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, CA.

His additional healthcare leadership experience includes: CMO of Keck Medical Center of USC, CMO of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, CMO of USC Care faculty medical group, director of Interventional Neuroradiology at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, Interventional Neuroradiology fellowship program director at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and co-director of Interventional Neuroradiology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine.
